Manage the SSP SOL sales team ensuring that strongcustomer relationships are created and maintained while driving the team (andeach sales person) to achieve their stated business goals.
Promote focused approach to selling based onvertical market penetration and specific SOL initiatives supported by thecompany.
Ensure coordinated andcooperative effort between SOL sales team and SOL operations, as well as otherdivisions within Building Technologies
What are my responsibilities?
Identifyand set strategic direction of SOL sales team, based on local market conditionsand drivers, company initiatives, competitive landscape and local SBTrelationships.
Drive focused approachfor the team consistent with this direction to maximize revenue, profit andcustomer satisfaction.
Managethe creation and development of SOL projects for customers in select verticalmarkets.
Managethe sales process to ensure customer opportunities are properly qualified priorto investment of resources. Work closelywith SOL Operations to ensure qualified projects are resourced during projectdevelopment and implementation phases
Recruit, retain, train and mentor sales personnel.Ensure that our sales personnel are skilledin selling the value of our company supported initiatives.
Create specific and challenging goals consistentwith team’s strategic direction.Providecandid feedback and coaching throughout the year, as well as formal performanceappraisals twice per year.
Demonstratethe ability to make changes based on lack of performance, if necessary.
Assist sales personnel with networking activities, marketing, customermeetings, proposal development and customer presentations to deliveroutstanding customer value.
Assist salespersonnel in creating sales strategy and setting margins for all solutions andservice opportunities. Work withoperations to assess risk and provide technical solutions that meet ourcustomers’ needs.
Network with other SOL country teams, as well as LC & MA headquarters, toincrease knowledge of offerings, and create opportunities for employees to dothe same.
Participatein development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies. Develop detailed sales forecast and provideinput to budget.
Maintainawareness of competitor information and advise employees on effective salesstrategies as needed. Maintain tradecontacts and participate in industry associations in accordance with companypolicy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’sdegree in Business Administration, Engineering or other related field. At least 5-7 years of sales experienceincluding 2 or more years of experience managing successful sales teams.
Requires a medium level of related technicaland financial expertise.
Excellentpresentation, oral and written communication skills for coaching sales staffand interfacing with customers. Abilityto travel up to 50% of time.
