The incumbent will be charged with the overall responsibility of conducting the examination and the analysis of internal controls and Bank operations.
The jobholder will develop sufficient audit scope, perform test procedures, and prepare audit report sin conformance with Doha Bank standards.
The Senior Auditor will likewise provide assurance and consultancy services in the area of branches and other audit related entities in order to achieve the bank’s objectives taking into account the appropriateness of governance, risk management and control process of audit entity and report findings to Section Head, Department Head and / OR CIA addition to test current Bank practices and report findings to respective Section and Department Heads.
Key roles and responsibilities include :
Assist the Section Head, Department Head and CIA in identifying and evaluating the Bank’s risk areas and suggesting workable recommendations.
Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting auditee processes and procedures.
Contribute to the preparation of the annual Risk based Audit program in accordance with the functions and policies of the Bank, and execution of the Annual Audit Plan.
Report to the respective Section Head, Department Head and CIA in day-to-day tasks and pursue guidance from them in performing Internal Audit activities by seeking appropriate feedback and counseling.
Review the documents gathered by the Internal Auditor throughout the development and administration of surveys, conduct of interviews, composition of summary memos, and preparation of working papers.
Lead the internal audit team in their on-site audit endeavors in the identification, development, and documentation of audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
Work closely with the Section Head, Department Head and CIA to communicate the results of audit and advisory projects via written reports and oral presentations to executive management.
Education & Experience Required
University degree in Audit, Business, Accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
Professional qualification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, CMA and / or CFA is preferable.
Minimum (6) years of related experience of which a minimum of (4) years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry entailing responsibilities of Internal Audit activities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
