The Role : :

Conduct periodic Access Network Quality of Service Check to insure best customer experience. Detect, report and follow up fixing of QOS degradation related to Access Network.

Ensure the quality and performance of network nodes and services. Meet the OSS strategy in terms of service monitoring (SQM / CEM).

Define E2E KPIs, objectives and guidelines for network quality and service monitoring.

Key Activities :

  • Meet the main objectives, guidelines and KPIs for service monitoring, testing and Network& Service Quality
  • Monitor the trends analysis and consensus action plans to higher management and concerned stakeholders to improve the network quality and customer perception.
  • This covers different services in voice and Data technologies like 2G / 3G / 4G radio, etc

  • Meet quality and performance KPI’s for both the entire IT, VAS, 2G, 3G, 4G and Data Networks.
  • Monitor the different benchmarking activities and the ensure the high quality reports of :

  • Competitor Network Benchmark (CNB) (external vender)
  • b) Ooredoo Network Benchmark (internal)
  • c) KPIs with key operators specially in OG Group
  • d) KPIs with Zain / Viva using E2E monitoring tools.
  • Follow up QOS and performance, following any network change or upgrade affecting Access Network.

    Detect access network degradations, escalate and follow up with MS Vendor and other departments for resolution

    Proactively monitor and test Radio NW quality and performance on routine basis

    Proactively monitor and report VIP / MA customers via VIP Care / Astellia.

    Conduct VIP Drives as and when needed.

    Validate Ooredoo NW versus competitors benchmarking report, detect issues and escalate for resolution.

    Validate routine Major Roads / HW drives and escalate issues and follow up with the MS Vendor for resolution.

  • Follow up Customer complaints (Customer Care TTs, VIP / Major Account TTs, Internal TTs) with MS Vendor and insure that SLA is et;
  • Prepare necessary b2b / VIP TTs reports to the management.

    Validate and highlight pros & cons with the implementation of new features, SW upgrades, Major changes in Access NW and verify that objectives of the changes are met.

    Produce Access reports as and when needed (Ooredoo Group, Technical committee, Operations meeting, Finance reports, Planning reports, etc.).

    Assist the Manager in implementing procedures & standards.

    Creating and updating processes for the entire workflow.

    Support and assist in the installation and configuration of performance tools managed by the department and as well the projects related to QoS.

    Ensure that upper management is informed on the status of all critical issues being captured in the Network.

    Managing Inventory of the tools / HWs.

    Maintain (KPIs) key performance indicators and make sure that they are properly mapped from basic counters collected from systems.

    Analyse Radio Parameters and follow up in correcting inconsistencies / discrepancies.

    Setting up Baseline parameters for all technologies and making sure that they are mapped and implemented correctly in the Radio NW (both the Vendors).

    Validate major changes in the Access NW and approve the same with necessary guidelines.

    Maintain and update Management Dashboard as and when needed. Other duties as directed by the manager Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-

    informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.

    Qualifications :

  • Require 3-4 year experience based in Radio Access Network with a Mobile Operator.
  • In depth knowledge of 2G / 3G / LTE technologies and Optimization skills

    Good understanding of Radio parameters, KPIs and Configurations.

    Well versed with RF testing tools.

    Multi-Vendor experience preferred.

    Good knowledge of Macros & MS Office applications like Excel, Access, Word etc.

    Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute.

    Strong interpersonal communication skills
