As a SalesManager you are responsible to oversee and implement all Sales activities inyour specific area of responsibility under the general guidance and supervisionof the Director of Sales & Marketing and in coordination within the limitsof established IHG Hotels policies’ procedures and Sales Manager manual.

Your day-to-day

  • Implements all sales action plansrelated to his / her marketing area as outlined in the Marketing Plan.
  • Establishes and maintains fileson major active accounts within his / her marketing areas.
  • Promotes and produces sales leadsfor other InterContinental Hotels Group through the I-Leads system.
  • Plans sales trips, under thedirect approval of Director of Sales & Marketing / Assistant Director ofSales, to major marketing areas, calling on accounts within their specificmarketing area.
  • Reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing on potentialmarkets needing coverage.

  • Provides feedback to the Directorof Sales & Marketing / Assistant Director of Sales on changing marketconditions, including trends in the competition as a result, of direct salessolicitation, telephone and direct mail, in his / her market areas.
  • Arrangesfamiliarization / site inspection trips in the hotel for major clients.

  • Disseminates sales relatedinformation to other departments as appropriate.
  • Maintains a high level ofexposure in the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation;telephone contacts, and written communications.
  • Establishes and maintainseffective employee relations.
  • Maintain complete knowledge ofall hotel features / services, hours of operation, schedule in-houseactivities, location and times
  • Attends meetings as requested byDirector of Sales & Marketing / Assistant Director of Sales.
  • Submits weekly sales reports,business-generated reports, and weekly call planner to Director of Sales &Marketing or Assistant Director of Sales.
  • Attends all major functions heldin-house.
  • Supports hotel promotions andevents and ensures information is fed into the market.

    Qualifications :

  • Previous experience within Sales & Marketing Department or similar environment preferred in a 4 - 5 Star Hotels
  • Work experience in Qatar or GCC countries is preferred
  • Can speak Arabic language
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Excellent Hospitality Skills
