PERSONALITY AND SKILLS

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique.

Experience as Chief Engineer or a strong number two. Pre opening experience an advantage.

able to be active listener, speaker.

ability to persuade and able to assess and analyze

Master office reporting tools.

Operation management and assessing hotels needs.

Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Proven ability to deal effectively with people from different cultures, levels and backgrounds

MISSION

To be responsible for pre opening tasks and coordination with project team for a smooth handover.

Implements preventive maintenance and repair schedules for all hotel complex, machinery, equipment and other facilities.

Develops and implements cost reduction, work simplification methods and techniques and improvement programmes

Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and others & General maintenance of the building, Operation trouble shooting.

Prepares and / or recommends requisitioning / ordering pertaining to maintenance of equipment, materials and supplies.

Participates in the execution of new projects including planning and costing.

Participates in the Engineering budget and business plan preparation.

Holds regular communication meetings with the staff and other departments.

Ensures the implementation of all instructions given by the General Manager.

Conducts routine inspections of the entire building including mechanical areas.

Supervises the implementation of all maintenance contracts.

To be fully in-charge of the fire and safety policies and procedure for the hotel, Carries out fire brigade duties as required

Initiates energy and water conservation plans, as per Accor’s environmental charter
