    The role

    The Deputy Contract Manager is the person who represents the service provider in all matters relating to the contract and acts as deputy to the Contract Manager.

    Operational

    Responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core business of the organization.

    To take the overall responsibility for delivering functional goals including operational uptime, compliance, financial and people development.

    To take overall responsibility for the work of all personnel employed by the service provider for the execution of the contract and providing them with the necessary materials and information to enable them to carry out their duties

    Realize pursuit of the satisfaction of the client, solving possible incidences and detecting new business opportunities or added to the already employed services.

    Responsible for implementing the maintenance procedures to be followed in accordance with the operating and maintenance manuals, the planned maintenance system and any other recommendations that become necessary over time.

    Have the ability to lead technical root cause investigations and elaborate comprehensive technical reports.

    To anticipate and plan for future requirements in the Facility. Act as consultant and advice the client.

    Monitor & ensure compliance with the policies and regulations adopted by the organization in the management of the contract, in its scope of activity.

    Following Permit to Work procedure (FMM and client) and ensuring the staff under you and subcontractors are following these requirements

    Responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained economically, efficiently and safely according to good engineering practices and to prolong the life of the systems.

    To attend periodic meetings with the client representatives and / or their representatives to discuss and appraise the performance of the contract at no extra cost to the client.

    Management & Leadership

    Coordinate and monitor the performance of the team in charge and participating in professional development.

    In cooperation with HR, propose dismissals and sanctions, as well as participate in the selection of the personnel

    Liaise with customers and operations and create and develop a relationship with the client. Manage stocks of supplies, tools and equipment.

    Monitor and control maintenance costs.

    Control the efficiency of the processes

    Have full working knowledge of the areas in the building which are covered by the services run by FMM.

    Design and supervise non-regular tasks.

    Plan staff rotations to ensure full coverage in all shifts and supervise staff hours worked, training attendance, sickness, and annual leave for producing a proper payroll.

    Ensure a high standard of employee s personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations.

    Provide feedback and reporting to line manager

    Ensure subcontractors are following the requirements

    Health, Safety, Environment & Quality

  • Collaborating with HSEQ Department to ensure safe working practices are followed.
  • Perform HSE inspections and provide input to accident and incident investigations

    Collaborating with HSEQ Department to provide response to client’s request for information, inspections, audits, etc.

    Follow client / company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards.

    Complying with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH.

    Ensuring the staff under you + subcontractors are following the requirements

    Follow Permit to Work system (FMM and client)

    Essential

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with electrical and electronic knowledge may be acceptable
  • 10 years’ experience in MEP systems with good knowledge of humidity and climate control.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Qatar / Ggulf countries

  • Good written and spoken English
  • Understanding of CAFM systems
  • Understanding of BIM modelling
  • Understand design specifications and technical drawings.
  • Preferred

  • Understanding of Museum Operations
  • Working knowledge of Museums
  • Working knowledge of SFG20
  • Additional Information
