About the Role :
Due to growth in the department a Manager position has become available to support the current Manager to ensure accuracy and timely pay for all staff related payments by developing and implementing proper procedures and managing the payroll software (Oracle) as well integrating the other systems within the group to the payroll software.
Ensures that finance payroll comply with local regulations with regard to WPS (Wages protection scheme), pension and taxes.
Key responsibilities of the role :
Manage staff full and final settlements for QR Group separated employees on time. Communicate with employees with regards to individual salary and deduction considerations, through relevant systems (Gems, emails or any other appropriate communication mode) to clear employee’s queries.
Responsible for 100% automation of the payroll activities, including system flow of information with regards to the various variable pay / One-
time pay elements to eliminate manual process. Automate all manual process with relates to payroll for QR Group. Complete automation of all statutory requirements and filing the returns to local / International authorities, regulatory bodies on time with system automated process.
Manage all payrolls for QR Group (including Posted Staff payrolls spread across the globe) and Temp staff based in Doha on time.
Ensure compliance of payroll disbursements through Wages Protection System for QR-Group.
Ensure compliance of all statutory payment and filing of returns to local / International authorities on time.
Manage Auto-reconciliation of all General Ledger balance sheet accounts
Responsible for calculating the effect of changes in the employee population or changes in laws and by-laws.
Computing, withholding, and calculating of deductions associated with net pay is done properly, including withholding pension contribution for nationals / GCC nationals, bond recovery, loan / salary advances recovery, International Saving Plan contributions, to ensure all pay are properly paid and to ensure statutory returns to related authorities accurately.
Validate and ensure updated recurring payroll information is available in the system to process correct pay through system.
Validate and ensure the collection, calculation, and entry of non recurring pay elements in the system
Disburse payroll through Wages Protection System as per MOLSA (Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs) requirements.
Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies to update General Ledger accounts accurately.
Responsible to process all separated staff full and final settlements for QR Group, whose assignments are blocked in the payroll system to effect final settlement payment on time.
Maintains employee data and protects payroll operational data by keeping information confidential based on QR Data security policy.
Manage day-today duty travel and credit card processes and automate all manual processes to run easy operations.
Manage to complete 100% automation in DSD process and reconciliation through system to report DSD reconciliation on time.
Management & Leadership
Addresses performance issues and makes recommendation for personnel action within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
Ensure segregation of duties for all payroll staff, access to ERP and share folders are limited to active staff.
Prepare and Measure productivities of payroll staff based on their scope of work.
Establish the teams’ objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
Regularly evaluate teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.

Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Previous Experience : Essential
Minimum 7 years relevant experience in finance
Airline Industry finance related experience.
Job Specific Skills : Essential
Computer literate with knowhow of how ERP works (Oracle or SAP). Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Command of English language.
Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
