As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer you will perform maintenance activities on Qatar Executive and third party aircraft.
You will also work independently or leading small teams to perform the assigned tasks within agreed timeframes.
2. ACCOUNTABILITIES : Operational
You will also : -
Ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities and inspections including AOG recovery conducted on QE Aircrafts and third party are carried out to the highest possible maintenance standards and safety in the most productive and cost effective manner using all available resources at the Engineer's disposal.
Plan and carry out assigned tasks such as removal and installation of components, operational tests, making repairs and operate tooling relative equipment in an effective manner by ensuring all required assistance, materials and tooling are on-
hand to complete the task within the agreed timeframe
Assist the departure and arrival of QE and third party aircrafts by providing towing, servicing, push back & cleaning services.
Clearly communicate with the Lead Engineer status of work performed, any issues arising and provide constructive feedback / recommendations regarding any maintenance difficulties and troubleshooting, and to ensure both operational and maintenance requirements can be met in the most effective manner.
Perform operational / functional tests, as well as rigging and adjustment of power plant systems, APU’s, systems and components using test equipment to determine serviceability and diagnose malfunctions, as per approved technical documentation.
Adjust, align and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges, instruments and test equipment.
Through effective troubleshooting determine cause of ale defects and resolve these defects quickly.
Modify a / c structures, systems or components in accordance with Engineering Orders, Drawings and / or Technical Publications.
Recommend to Maintenance Manager any amendments to procedures and practices to improve performance in a cost effect manner.
Assist QE Management in the definition of new aircraft, GSE, and support requirements.
You will : -
Ensure all work performed by assigned staff complies with the provisions of the Maintenance Management Exposition and Technical Procedures Manuals.
Supervision of assigned mechanics, cleaners and specialists under his control to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed efficiently, safely and on time.
Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and make appropriate changes if needed.
Oversee, supervise and coach employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service and revenue delivery.
Provide the necessary practical training and support to ensure assigned personnel are trained both on the aircraft and in technical documentation, and to ensure that all relevant information is entered correctly into the respective records in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through prevision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision.
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
Ensure that all managers and supervisors understand work health and safety requirements and expectations to the extent that they can pass on relevant information, identify training needs and provide appropriate supervision in their workplace.
Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved.
Takes responsibility for a strong quality and safety culture within their sphere of influence.
Ensure that all Health and Safety issues are dealt with in the most appropriate manner.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Internal Promotion from JE.00 following successful interview by Maintenance Manager and VP Technical Operations
Accepted LAME with full license
There is no minimum amount of time that the job-holder needs to be at grade JE.00. If the incumbent obtains a full license while still a mechanic then he / she could transfer from JM.
05 or JM.06 directly provided he / she has the full LAME license and passes the interview requirements.
EASA, Transport Canada or QCAA license.

Specialist - minimum 5 years of job-related experience required
Minimum 2 years on the job experience required as an aircraft mechanic or technician

Experienced working in both a line and base maintenance environment.
