The Site InstallationInspector Telecom is to monitor work carried out on various construction / Metro sites to ensure safety and quality is upheld and ensuring theinstallation reflects the approved design drawings.
They will need to carry outregular inspections, checking quality of work, searching out any defects / snags, and then reporting all findings to the construction managementteam.
Carrying out regularinspections on construction sites ensuring good housekeeping is kept at alltimes.
Working with a host ofoperatives including engineers and supervisors.
Monitoring systemsinstallation process from start to finish.
Checking quality ofwork.
Ensuring installationand material usage follow approved design plans.
Daily and weeklyreporting to the construction management team.
Checking for any snags / defects.
Making sure buildingregulations and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Ensuring all works onsite are carried out to an approved method statement.
Making sure alldocumentation on site is approved and up to date.
Able to monitor installation progress againstprogramme making sure key milestones are hit.
Bachelor’s Degree inElectrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous but not essentialwith good knowledge of Rail / Metro telecom systems with a minimum 3 years’experience in installations on rail systems projects.
Must be fluent inEnglish with good written and oral communication skills.
Must have good attentionto detail.
Must be organised andhave a practical approach to any issues arising on site.
Must be familiar withdifferent international standards relating to building regulations and H&Sregulations.
Management andnegotiation skills being able to effectively communicate with team members.
Able to work with arange of multi-disciplined operatives / engineers.
A good understanding oftechnical plans / drawings is essential.
Must be able to endure being on site for several hoursin very hot climate conditions.
