Work closely with the Commercial team and Service Line Managers (locally and in region as required) to develop Fugro activities and long term relation with Clients
Review project requirements, prepare proposals or provide advice on proposal preparation by commercial team on large projects
Develop innovative approach and value proposition to address client challenges, positioning Fugro as a preferred contractor / supplier with a strong understanding of the competition.
Growth and profitability of GeoConsulting activities, deliver unbiased advise to client problems combining Fugro multiple services.
Ensure quality of geotechnical deliverable, with support of senior geologist responsible for day to day activity and coordination of geologist team
Supervise lower grade team members on project and direct implementation of appropriate techniques. Performs independently all standard engineering assignments, prepares and implements engineering reporting procedure and plan on large project.
Supervises moderate to complex field investigations, and assists lower level professionals in the completion of assignments
Show initiative as part of the role in all duties and set example as necessary for the team members
Product Manager for selected Fugro products and thereby gaining expertise through literature and / or studies
Establish and maintain long term relations with clients and business partners. Identify and develop engineering and consulting service opportunities with clients
Promote development of expertise by suggesting and contributing to internal innovation projects, preparation of technical publications, delivering presentations in relevant industry events.
Updated with and actively contributing to implementation of published Quality Assurance, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures in the work place

Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Master degree or higher education in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
Minimum 10+ years of practical experience in similar role.
Self-motivated, pro-active, committed and flexible with strong problem-solving skills.
Commercial understanding and capable of developing innovative solutions.
Willing to travel to and work at site if necessary and work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
Consult extensively with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice.
Direct team members or individuals assisting on projects. Mentor performance excellence and adherence to quality standards.
Extensive knowledge of site characterization techniques and geotechnical interpretation work, big data management, IoT
Experience with soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical engineering principles
Stay abreast of current professional standards, periodicals, and technological advancements. Maintain meaningful involvement in professional organizations (Chartership, Professional Engineers..).
Detailed experience with computational geotechnics package (Plaxis, FLAC, ), excel spreadsheets and exposure. Exposure to VBA programming and geotechnical monitoring works preferred.
