Role Objective :
Manage the BPS sales team ensuring that strongcustomer relationships are created and maintained while driving the team (andeach sales person) to achieve their stated business goals.
Promote focused approach to selling based onvertical market penetration and specific BPS initiatives supported by thecompany.
Ensure coordinated andcooperative effort between BPS sales team and BPS operations, as well as otherdivisions within BT.
What are my responsibilities ?
Identify and set strategic direction of BPSsales team, based on local market conditions and drivers, company initiatives,competitive landscape and local SBT relationships.
Drive focused approach for the teamconsistent with this direction to maximize revenue, profit and customersatisfaction.
Manage the creation and development of BPSprojects for customers in select vertical markets.
Manage the sales process to ensure customeropportunities are properly qualified prior to investment of resources.Work closely with BPS Operations to ensurequalified projects are resourced during project development and implementationphases.
Recruit, retain, train and mentor sales personnel.Ensure that our sales personnel are skilledin selling the value of our company supported initiatives, such asalternative / renewable energy, green and sustainability solutions, innovativefinancing and energy services.
Createspecific and challenging goals consistent with team’s strategic direction.Provide candid feedback and coachingthroughout the year, as well as formal performance appraisals twice per year.
Demonstrate the ability to make changes basedon lack of performance, if necessary.
Assist sales personnel with networking activities, marketing, customermeetings, proposal development and customer presentations to deliveroutstanding customer value.
Assist salespersonnel in creating sales strategy and setting margins for all solutions andservice opportunities.Work withoperations to assess risk and provide technical solutions that meet ourcustomers’ needs.
Network with other BPS country teams, as well as corporate headquarters, toincrease knowledge of offerings, and create opportunities for employees to dothe same.
Participate in development of long-rangesales planning and growth strategies.Develop detailed sales forecast and provide input to budget.
Maintain awareness of competitor informationand advise employees on effective sales strategies as needed.Maintain trade contacts and participate inindustry associations in accordance with company policy.
What are the requirements for the role ?
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,Engineering or other related field. Atleast 5-7 years of sales experience including 2 or more years of experiencemanaging successful sales teams.
Requires a medium level of related technical and financial expertise. Specific Performance Contracting sales andsales management preferred.
Excellent presentation, oral and writtencommunication skills for coaching sales staff and interfacing with customers. Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
