About You : You are improving the Customer service in the store, answering customers queries, representing IKEA brand at the required level and maintaining store standards to the required level.
What's more, we believe that you have the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation : Live and share the IKEA values every day High School Diploma Valid Manual Qatar Driving License / Forklift license 2 years experience in a similar role Knowledge of retail operations About the Position : You will receive, store and arrange IKEA furniture for home delivery, ensuring that the furniture are arranged strategically and efficiently for easy flow of goods from receiving, storing and issuing to customer and the Delivery and Assembly Team.
Key specific accountabilities : Receives and inspects all incoming goods from Back office and reconciles with home delivery documents as per the company policy, system and procedure.
Accurate segregating and palletizing of goods according to team and home delivery schedules. Stack items on pallets securely for proper storing / racking to ensure minimal damages and ensuring safety measures are observed and followed.
Preparing and staging of goods for the next home delivery schedules. Maintain accurate assessment of damaged items and to speed up after sale process as per store policy and procedure.
Ensures that all unclaimed items (if applicable) should be properly accounted, reported and recorded for audit and spot checks.
Ensures that all damaged or missing parts are collected together and are dealt correctly in order to complete pending assembly accurately.
Conduct a monthly regular safety checks at the loading bay area. Ensure that the all equipment’s (pallet jacks, etc) are safely and properly maintained.
Performing housekeeping, inventory control, maintaining a clean work environment, and complying with all safety requirements.
Perform other duties, project and assignments as required. Ensures that empty trolleys to be stacked and pushed out of loading bay ready to be collected by the trolley assistants.
Ensures that empty pallets be safely stacked and send to goods receiving area.
