Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a private, chartered, nonprofit organization, founded in 1995 by His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-
Thani, Emir of Qatar. Guided by the principle that a nation's greatest resource is the potential of its people, Qatar Foundation aims to develop that potential through a network of centers devoted to progressive education, research and community welfare.
The Office of Faculty & Student Services (OFSS) is a central point of contact for students, families, other QF entities, and university Branch partners.
The Coordinator of Student Services Projects will be assigned projects based on the advice of the Directors and overseen by the Assistant Vice President.
Special projects will come from any of the program areas of OFSS, including initiatives such as preparing for and opening the Student Center, conducting assessments of students’ experiences, establishing cross-
Branch projects that enhance student learning, and others. The projects are critical to QF and OFSS; it is for this reason that the Administrative Assistant must deliver on-
time and achieve consistently high quality results. The projects represent a high degree of risk should they not be handled effectively and efficiently.
The OFSS Coordinator of Student Services Projects will work with the Assistant Vice President to insure that these assignments do not distract the leadership team of OFSS from their daily and routine responsibilities.
While special projects are important, the focus will be making sure that the intermittent nature of these projects do not distract from the core responsibilities of OFSS nor do they result in other missed deadlines or reduced quality in the core work.
The OFSS Coordinator of Student Services Projects will demonstrate to others that evidence-based decision making is the most appropriate way to handle professional responsibilities.
By demonstrating best practice in project and program work, the OFSS Coordinator will help build capacity among current and future staff.
The Coordinator represents the Assistant Vice President and is responsible for contributing to the growing credibility of OFSS and its programs / services.
