a)Provide technical knowledge and support to customers. Assist other sales personnel, customers and potential customers on the technical issues of the products.
b)Monitor technical content of job proposals generated in field and sales to ensure technical standards are being upheld.
c)Reviewing request for quotation, tender requests, opportunities and assess relevant technical standards, requirements to satisfy the customer.
d)Deliver detailed evaluation of customer opportunities and work with sales, finance and operations teams to define the cost and program impact of these requirements
e)After order, to check the order for completeness and review against initial proposal for completeness â€ informing sales team of changes or errors.
f)Working with Operations and Sales team in new business development, presentation to customers, OESC shopfloor visits etc
g)Deep knowledge of API, ASME & NORSOK standards relating to the Oil & Gas sector.
h) Solid technical & practical depth in either (ideally both) upstream (including API 6A & 16A) or downstream including rotating equipment sectors within the Oil & Gas industry.
Exposure to marine, power and water sectors an advantage.
i)Providing technical expertise to engineering teams on inspection quality applications, tools, techniques, and systems.
j)Developing weld procedures according to customer requirements and relevant standards like API6A, API 16A & ASME Sec IX.
k)Ensuring project execution adhered to project specifications, standards and codes, construction procedures, method of statement, and job site instructions.
l)Knowledge in the application of HVOF & Arc spray coating techniques.
m)Knowledge in static and rotating equipmentâ€™s.
n)As necessary attending job site to review work, address technical issues, or discuss job aspects with customers.
o)As required deputise for the Operations Manager in internal and external meetings.
