About your Job :
The Store Equipment Specialist is responsible to maintain production and facility support equipment to planned production and quality specifications.
Provides the preventative and corrective maintenance of the Auto Cribs, Intelliports and Robo Cribs found in the Qatar Airways Maintenance area.
As a successful candidate for this role you will slso involve in preventative and corrective maintenance of other Equipment which may be procured for the similar purpose and is used to store Aviation Tools and Equipment.
Specific responsibilities for the role include :
Specialist and point of contact for the Storage Equipment like the Auto cribs, Intelliports and Robo cribs or any other system which is used for the Storage of any tools / equipment.
Involves in Installation / rebuilding of Storage Equipment through liaising with the appropriate department and the service provider to cater the storage requirements of the Tools and equipment.
Plans the corrective maintenance through appropriate office tools to ensure the serviceability of the Storage Equipment.
Involves in the repair works of the Storage Equipment by following up the warranty repairs / initiating internal repairs where capable.
Plans, installs, maintains, rebuilds, and repairs a wide variety of machinery requiring the use of ordinary and specialized tools and Equipment.
Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic / hydraulic systems that are involved in the Storage equipment to ensure the serviceability.
Assumes an active role in the output by proper planning and adherence to quality for the storage equipment in his assigned area.
All the work, preventive and corrective maintenance of the Storage equipment is planned and recorded through an ERP (like TRAX or any other suitable program) in order to maintain and monitor the maintenance records of the Storage equipment.
Work orders are duly filled and updated in the ERP for this purpose.
Continuously co-ordinating with the supply chain and other stakeholders to get the feedback to ensure the proper and timely services of the storage equipment are met.
Assist the stores personnel in the inventory checking and monitoring through the storage equipment to ensure the serviceability and the availability of the tooling and equipment stored in it .
Acts as the team leader in completion of special technical problem resolution assignments like creative solutions for the equipment storage / issuance and return with minimal intervention of the stores personal in order to achieve the optimum efficiency and quality.
Also manages structured groups within maintenance organization to achieve the same.
Plan and execute the training of the production, technical and support personnel as required by liaising with the service provider or self-
tailored training module to ensure the proper utilization of the storage equipment.
Assist Auditors of Quality, Safety and Inventory teams to understand the functioning of the storage equipment in order to adhere to the company standards and improve the quality of the systems.
Manage inventory of tools and Equipment.
Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
About you :
You hold a relevant college or University qualification to minimum Bachelor's level or a Degree in BSc. Aeronautical , Electrical, Mechanical & Electronics with 5 years of relevant experience.
You must have a good knowledge in Inventory Control, Aircraft system , Aircraft tools and equipment with Project management skills and good command in English.
You must be familiar with EASA part 145 regulations.
