Loss Prevention Engineer (Temporary)
Your responsibilities as Loss Prevention Engineer :
Assist Head of Loss Prevention Engineering with the implementation of the company process safety and risk or loss prevention program.
Participate in or lead in-house hazard identification, risk assessment and safety studies as appropriate and prepare related reports.
Review engineering documentations, project deliverables, interface documentation related to process safety engineering and provide professional assessment of the documents.
Review MOCs, process safety incidents, deviation requests, temporary defeats etc. to support plant operations.
Prepare / update loss prevention engineering related procedures as needed.
Coordinates and participates, as required, in accident & incident investigations.
Assist Senior and Lead Loss Prevention Engineer in day-to-day LPE activities.
Works as a loss prevention engineering SME for projects to ensure engineering design meets applicable loss prevention regulations and standards.
Ensures all SHE-related systems conform to specifications.
You and your competencies
Have a Bachelor degree in Engineering preferably in chemical engineering from a reputable university.
Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in process safety or loss prevention engineering of which at least seven (7) years shall have been in the Oil & Gas production or petrochemical / gas processing industries.
Have an ability to read engineering drawings and communicate with other engineers is essential.
Have very good knowledge or written and spoken English with ability to produce procedures and technical reports.
Have very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, hazard identification software (e.g. PHAPro), consequence modeling software (e.
g. PHAST), or other safety study software (e.g. BowTie); development of event trees etc.
Good organizational, communication, and supervisory skills.
Have good command over spoken and written English.
Have a fitness level necessary to work both in onshore and offshore facilities.
Be well conversant and knowledgeable about Industry Codes, Standards such as API, IP, NFPA etc.
