The Network Architect position is responsible for designing the Enterprise / Service provider networks. There will be participation in client’s related discussions and design reviews.
The Network Architect will produce design recommendations for upgrades and drive future network functionality and architectures.
Additional tasks are to collect operational and trend statistics and to analyze performance results.
Qualifications & Skills :
Experience (10 years) on design and Implementations of large, high-availability, global enterprise networks
Multi-vendor experience preferred
Executing best practice concepts including RFCs and ISO standards, SLAs, change management
IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPL
IPv4 knowledge required and IPv6 knowledge a plus
IP fundamentals including packet level analysis
Network protocols including TCP, UDP, HTTP,HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SIP, RTP
Network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, load-balancing, security
Network applications including VoIP, video, encryption, content delivery
Network security including firewalls, URL filtering, Traffic management, proxies, ACL, IPsec, SSL / TLS, IPS / IDS
Network features including VRRP, LACP, STP, QoS, load balancing, anycast
Physical layer including Ethernet, optical OCx, SONET, T1 / T3, Fiber Channel
Hardware experience including Juniper, Cisco, F5 and Fortinet products
Network management tools including OpenNMS, CiscoPrime, JunOS Space
Telephony including PSTN, voice and video over IP
Multi-media collaboration and other real-time content delivery
Leading-edge SDN and NFV developments
Datacenter and POP design and Implementation
Enterprise / Service Provider Networks
Education and Personal :
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific disciplines (equivalent experience will be considered)
Expert level industry certification (e.g.,CCDE,CCIE,JNCIE) mandatory
Function well in a team as well as individually
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
