About your Job :
The will be responsible to maintain and control stocks of ULD and all related devices and equipment, also ensure ULDs stock available for QR network stations to move cargo and baggage in a safe cost effective manner.
You will plan and place order for ULDs and supporting tools based on the expansion and ensure he ULD damages minimized. You will manage and lead the team for effective management of cargo ULD network wide.
Operational Accountability :
Control and monitor stock of ULD, tie down equipment’s network wise to meet the requirements to ensure enough stock is available at all stations.
Ensure that ULDs are stored and handled netwrok wide to avoid damages, damaged units are retreived and repaired for re-
use to minimize expenses and maximize utility.
Ensure procedures are emplaced for the serviceability check of different type of ULDs and consumable item to ensure safety and avoid damages to aircraft, passengers and property.
Responsible to monitor the movement and securing of ULD units currently under possession of QR Cargo.
Coordinate the procurement of units to be ordered, to cater the business requirements of QR cargo. Also coordinate the procurement of consumable items which include tie down straps, pallet net, double stud, spider net etc.
Plan, select and procure suitable ULDs in coordination with technical section and purchases department to ensure enough stock is available based on requirements.
Write off U / S ULDs and arrange disposal for space utility and get revenue from damaged ULDs.
Prepare the annual budget for ULD purchases, repair and maintenance cost for annual requirement / and when new routes are planned.
Supervised and ensured the movement of ULDs recorded and information available at all time for administrative purposes and for stock control.
Control and monitor stock of horse stalls, VAL boxes and / or any equipment required for special handling of Cargo.
Prepare rosters for ULD staff and assign duties accordingly.
Effectively lead, manage, coach and develop employees.
About You :
You must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the airline cargo operations industry in managing and supervising an operations team or a ULD coordination team.
You will need to have job specific skills like knowledge in Dangerous Goods regulations, live animals regulations, perishable cargo, ramp handling, cargo warehouse training.
Proficiency in MS Excel is required. Strong problem solving, and Judgement & Analysis competencies are also required for this role.
Good analytical and decision making skills is desired. You should be aware of process development techniques.
You should be a self-starter with high energy levels and the ability to work in a high pressure environment. You will be a strong people manager with excellent communication skills in English.
