About Your Job :
As a Cargo Contracts Management and Control Manager, you will be responsible for the effective processing of the contracts relevant to Cargo business, operational and technical requirements.
You will be responsible in ensuring that valid and appropriate contracts are in place to ensure compliance to corporate policies and procedures.
Responsible in ensuring the due diligence is performed by Cargo Contract team for all service requirements of Cargo in Head Office as well as in outstations which need to be covered by a definite agreement / contract to ensure compliance to corporate requirements.
Manage activities pertaining to the review , amendments of existing agreements in consultation with relevant user departments to ensure relevant and valid contracts are in place.
Participate if contracting discussions, ie, service and other commercial negotiations, SLAs with financial impact or otherwise, and ensure that interest of cargo is considered.
Evaluate and finalize non-disclosure agreements, sales, services, and purchase agreements, sub-contracts, consulting agreements, licensing agreements, master agreements ensuring compliance to corporate policies and legal requirements.
Review customer proposed terms and conditions and recommend provisions to protect the interest of QR Cargo.
Responsible in maintaining valid, accurate and complete Cargo Contracts and Agreements.
Liaise in obtaining feedback between cargo user department n one hand and Contract department and Legal department on the other, to ensure QR interest is protected in so far as contractual and legal obligation or exposure is concerned.
Management and Leadership :
Provide guidance on contract matters, contracting practices and procedures to project managers or other operational staff, including training to new project managers, and other new employees.
Oversee and supervise employee’s.
Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives.
Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with support business objectives.
About You :
You will need to hold a relevant college or university qualification to minimum Bachelor’s degree level. A degree in the field of Business Administration, Corporate Laws or Commercial Laws will be an advantage.
It is essential that you have very good knowledge in contract negotiation, contracting and contract execution ,and will need to have sound understanding of air cargo industry requirements.
Exposure to managing complex and sensitive contracts is also a requirement for this role.
You will need to be an expert with a minimum of 7 years of job related experience in an airline or ground handling company.
It will be an added advantage if you have held a similar role within the cargo airline / aviation business providing similar air cargo solutions.
You will need to have strong analytical skills and will need to have excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
