AECOM is currently seeking to hire MEP Manager to be based at Doha, Qatar. The MEP Manager will oversee supervision of the Main Contractor’s MEP works related to the entire project, while providing assistance and support to all other components of the project.
Responsible for management of all technical reviews related to the D&B MEP Sub-contractor, support to the Commercial Team with respect to MEP procurement, cost management and claims avoidance & mitigation, and ultimately responsible for implementation of the approved technical submittals through to practical completion.
Job Duties :
Overall responsibility within the PM CM Consultant Team for MEP delivery by the Main Contractor and its D&B MEP sub-contractor
Leads the Consultant’s MEP Senior Team consisting of MEP Engineering Manager and other Lead Engineers and Project Managers
Provides guidance and coordinates efforts of the planning, design and construction management activities, assigned personnel and sub-
consultants within a multidisciplinary, multiple phased construction project environment.
Leads the MEP Team in undertaking the technical reviews and compliance checks of the Contractor’s submittals.
Executes standardized procedures for monitoring the progression of planning, design and construction phases.
Monitors project and staff to ensure that projects are progressing according to established procedures and cost, time and quality objectives.
Interfaces with Project Designers and Contractor to co-ordinate the design intent with construction delivery.
Interfaces with Authorities during the construction and the handover phases of the project.
Prepares reports for Project Director and Client indicating procedure adherence and project progress.
Ensures periodic inspection of construction activities and compiles noncompliance reports as appropriate and recommending the appropriate follow up action.
Ensures that Main Contractor is in compliance with project plans and specifications.
Monitors the quality of work performance by Contractor and the quality of materials used on-site.
Evaluates the progress of the project to determine if time schedules and cost objectives are being met.
Assists in change control management and claims process with contracted parties and ensures AECOM / Client protocols are adhered to and employed.
Strives to ensure project time and cost objectives are met.
Implements and follows Quality Assurance Program procedures.
Implements and follows Health and Safety Program procedures
Ensures Contractor’s compliance with Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program procedures as outlined in the contract.
Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Chairs site progress meetings and ensure timely dissemination of minutes.
Organizes and manages regular interface meetings & workshops with design team as necessary to ensure timely responsiveness to RFI’s, submittals, sample reviews, and overall compliance with the construction schedule.
Responsible for developing and implementing claims avoidance and mitigation strategies.
Responsible for MEP procurement, cost and commercial support to the Consultant’s Commercial Team.
Specific Skills Required :
15+ years’ experience in MEP related roles
Client facing skills
Residential (villa) experience of the highest quality

The MEP Manager will ideally have 10+ years project / construction management experience and spent the last 5+ years focusing on MEP works on large scale building projects.
5 years Middle East experience required.
