Our team is growing and we are currently seeking for an Exhibition Design Specialist that will be based in Children's Museum, Doha, Qatar.

The museum, to be built within the future Doha Grand Park, will play a formative role in helping children develop emotional, social, physical and cognitive skills, while creating a new generation of museum visitors.

The museum will include a unique combination of traditional Arab culture, modern arts and ecology.

It will also facilitate exhibits and programs to stimulate informal learning experiences for children.

In contrast with traditional museums that typically have a hands-off policy regarding exhibits, the Qatar Children’s Museum will feature interactive exhibitions purposely designed to be manipulated by the younger generation.

Responsibilities Extend project management services on behalf of the Client to oversee the exhbition design component of the project.

  • Undertake complex, sensitive and confidential work associated with the specialized museum elements and exhibition development of the project to help the project achieve the highest quality, and minimize potential consultant’s and contractors’ requests for variations;
  • Works in close cooperation with the Client's project staff and other stakeholders, especially those associated with exhibition content and specialized museum elements;
  • Review storyboards of the designers for constructability and appropriate cost assessment Reviews selected submittals regarding specialized museum elements and exhibition / content and related works, and provides comment as may be requested;
  • Conducts special exhibition / content related progress meetings and participates in on-site and offsite main contract / progress meetings as may be requested;
  • Qualifications Post-secondary education in design / architecture, business, tourism or arts / museum studies fields; Minimum 10 years work experience in architecture, museum, cultural or events / media production fields;
  • Knowledge of international practices and implementation processes related to exhibition / content, graphics and media production in particular;
  • and, Experience in client relations related to project approvals for complex, sensitive, and confidential work and museum content.
