This critical role will be responsible forrepresenting the firm in communications with the client, designconsultants and contractor from post contract award and technicallyassess contractor submittals in accordance with mechanical focusedstrategy and procedures.
Responsibilities Paramount to successwithin this varied role will include;
Providingleadership and subject matter expertise to the project to achievetime, cost, quality and safety objectives.
Monitoringand reporting on the production of information with respect to thediscipline-related services submittal progress.
Reviewing submitted shop drawings and material submittals againstthe drawings and specifications, local codes and statutoryrequirements and international best practice.
Construction management of mechanical related services includingconstruction of building works, infrastructure water, waste water,HVAC and district cooling works.
Providing technicalinput and experience to resolve engineering issues.
Monitoring the Engineers and Inspectors performance to ensure thatthey are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities.
Maintaining open communication with the client andcontractor’s discipline engineers on project relatedissues.
Preparing project reports (written andphotographic) on progress of works, quality and technicalconformance of the works, safety and other matters.
Attending technical and progress meetings with thecontractor / client’srepresentative.
