Strategic and planning

  • Provide inputs to the formulation of Internal Audit Department’s strategy, policies and procedures; ensuring alignment to the corporate strategy and monitor implementation of the strategy.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive risk based operational annual Internal Audit plan for Blue Group including tracking audit findings through to closing audit findings.
  • Functional

  • Develop and formulate a mechanism for ensuring that the organization operates within the framework of quality management systems including establishment of standard operating
  • procedures for various departments.

  • Identify improvement opportunities at individual, team and organizational level and understand the issues / risks with project execution to help understand and clear roadblocks.
  • Drive the complete quality assurance engagement to aid project success and ensure selected and adapted quality assurance systems and best practices are followed.
  • Identify and evaluate Blue Group’s audit risk areas; track the performance of the department against the annual audit plan and propose any changes to the plan where necessary.
  • Collate inputs and prepare the internal audit report specifically identifying areas that need immediate intervention.
  • Co-ordinate with various departments to close audit findings ensuring that they are being addressed as and when agreed.
  • Identify opportunities during audits which can enhance process improvement and simplify processes.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the sections.
  • Prepare all internal audit reports and deliverables and assure work is completed within agreed upon time frame.

  • Continuously strive for self-development by actively seeking opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines for completion of performance appraisal for self and subordinates.
  • Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs / certifications for self and subordinates.
  • Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy / Finance or other relevant fields
  • Certified Internal Auditor ( CIA’) / Chartered Accountant ( CA’) / MBA (Finance)
