School Counsellor (Social, Emotionaland Psychological) : Job Description / TeacherProfile Scope : Secondary school Reporting to : Headof Primary &Secondary, Head of School Inorder to fill this role effectively, the successfulcandidate will need to havea diverse range of qualities, competencies andexperience.
He / She should bean outstanding learner, motivator andcommunicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, andshould be capable of creating an environment of mutualsupport and respect by identifying and addressing factorsthat support orperhaps inhibit student learning.
He / sheshould be able to provide support to students, staff andparents to facilitate the development of an internationally-mindedcommunity which shares a common interest in preserving theenvironment, caring for each other and engaging enthusiastically inlearning.
Qualifications andexperience. The school prefersapplicants with : Degree level qualification inpsychology, education, counselling orequivalent Experience in schoolcounselling and / or learning support Knowledgeand Skills.
