  • Prepare various cost control documents including budgetary estimates from sketch drawings, Costs Estimates and Cost Plans.
  • Take off quantities from 2D / 3D drawings with measurement software / CAD based software and prepare Bill of Quantities for all disciplines.
  • Liaise with Project Directors / Project Development Managers for pre-contract QS works and propose solutions to meet client obligations.
  • Attend tender procedures and assists in preparing the tender evaluation reports.
  • Review contractor’s progress, payment applications and issues payment recommendations to clients.
  • Review & evaluate contractor’s claims and variations. Secure client's approval and prepare variation orders.
  • Provide assistance to Project Manager on contractual issues and independently handle contractual correspondence.
  • Liaise with contractors to advise on requirements of contract.
  • Inspect site to collate information for monthly statement which includes but not limited to recommendation on interim payments, statement of claims from contractor, anticipated claims from contractor and assessment of costs of works and expected final cost.
  • Perform cost analysis and draw up reports on changes to works and contractor’s claims.
  • Assist Project Manager in preparing and approving contractor’s final accounts.
  • Assist in any other relevant post contract administration duties related to QS.
