Job Summary
The MRAP / IMDS Material Controller c oordinates with site supply and Superintendent to develop schedules and plans required to maintain assigned MRAP Fleet.
Primary point of contact for all MRAP / IMDS related shop supply transactions. Reviews and documents MRAP supply activities in IMDS.
Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
Principal Accountabilities
Assists in managing the department's Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) / Environmental Safety & Health programs in accordance with (IAW) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work instructions (WI), established guidance and HAZMAT directives.
Performs Equipment Custodian duties for all assigned MRAP if necessary.
Reviews Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) / DI supply documents to verify status of parts.
Submits the Local Purchase (LP) supply documents to procure items such as test / shop equipment, and consumable items.
Reviews and inventories Organizational Equipment Lists (OEL), calibration lists, and Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL).
Monitors monthly SBSS produced D04, C49's, D-18, and M14 listing for status of equipment and parts.
Monitor the Delayed Maintenance (PCN15) Report and perform monthly reconciliation with Superintendent / Supervisor as required.
Prepares and submits quality / material deficiency reports and Technical Order (TO) changes are required.
Inspects hazardous materials within the assigned work center and coordinates with the appropriate office for the disposal of HAZMAT when required.
Stocks, maintains and requisitions parts, tools and supplies to perform required work on assets.
Responsible for MRAP Shop Stock and Bin location programs.
Responsible for the inspection, inventory and accountability of Other Vehicle Equipment (OVE) and replacement glass programs.
Assists in supporting special tools, shop stock, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), safety and environmental shop functions.
Initiate cannibalization (AF Form 1832) request if necessary.
Operates material handling equipment as required.
Assists in the preparation of vehicles / equipment for air / land / sea movement as required.
Provides assistance and train other workers in IMDS as required for IMDS transactions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
Minimum Requirements
Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
Knowledge of IMDS to include scheduling, supply transactions and daily documentation highly preferred.
Previous experience as Equipment Custodian preferred.
Knowledge of Federal Catalog System (FEDLOG) and Web FLIS parts research processes preferred.
Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum three years experience with the US Air Force or civilian organization in the field of vehicle support equipment maintenance required.
Must have previous Support Section experience in a maintenance environment.
May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.
Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting / pushing / pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensive work handling / lifting equipment.
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
Must have a current U.S. Passport.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Project is desirable.
Prefer knowledge of Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) for management of department TOs.
