learners and their learning first in your design and facilitation of learning outcomes content and experiences which are underpinned by positive and supportive relationships You understand the types and phases of learning and apply your knowledge skills and understanding of these to effectively facilitate learning teaching and assessing to meet the personalized needs of each student You empower students to lead their own learning supporting them to monitor assess and adjust their learning in response to feedback You continuously inquire into the process of learning making evidenceinformed decisions and taking action to further improve learning and teaching 7 Learning Spaces You create and use spaces to support and demonstrate the school s shared ideas about learners and learning and the ways in which students are getting better You ensure learning spaces physical and digital are safe collaborative accessible and inclusive and enable students to play an active role in their development The Inclusion Teacher supports the SENCo to ensure that Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND provision is both efficiently and effectively managed It is expected that all legal and statutory requirements as per Qatar MOEHE are met Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds abilities and dispositions Be accountable for pupils attainment progress and outcomes Be aware of pupils capabilities and their prior knowledge and plan teaching to build on these Guide pupils to reflect on the progress they have made and their emerging needs Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and how this impacts on teaching Encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study Have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject s and curriculum areas foster and maintain pupils interest in the subject and address misunderstandings Impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time Promote a love of learning and children s intellectual curiosity Set homework and plan other outofclass activities to consolidate and extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired Reflect systematically on the effectiveness of lessons and approaches to teaching Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum within the relevant subject area s Contribute to the development of schemes of work and department resources Create and deliver highly structured lessons to meet all needs Know when and how to differentiate appropriately using approaches which enable pupils to be taught effectively Often modifying a lesson subject area to suit individual needs Have a secure understanding of how a range of factors can inhibit pupils ability to learn and how best to overcome these Demonstrate an awareness of the physical social and intellectual development of children and know how to adapt teaching to support pupils education at different stages of development Have a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils including those with special educational needs those of high ability those with English as an additional language those with disabilities and be able to use and evaluate distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support them Know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas including internal and external assessment requirements Make use of formative and summative assessment to secure pupils progress Use relevant data to monitor progress set targets and plan subsequent lessons Give pupils regular feedback both orally and through accurate marking and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school including fulfilling extracurricular activity expectations and other out of hours requirements Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues knowing how and when to draw on advice and specialist support Deploy support staff effectively Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development responding to advice and feedback from colleagues Contribute fully to the extracurricular program within the department and assist in the organization and running of curriculum days such as Language Day Communicate effectively with parents with regard to pupils achievements and wellbeing To complete all other tasks that can be reasonably expected of a teacher To be fully aware of Health and Safety across the school Emphasizes the importance of safety in all areas of the and expectations of the school which set out their professional duties and responsibilities Any other duties that the Principal may from time to time ask the postholder to perform Education Bachelor s Degree in teaching from an accredited institution Required teaching certification for Qatar MOEHE Meet professional teacher education requirements of school Child Care and Protection Experience Minimum 3 years relevant experience Knowledge Competencies Indepth knowledge and understanding of School and associated assessment methods Up to date curriculum developments Application of effective teaching and learning theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children e g classroom organisation and learning strategies Proven management skills Excellent communication skills and command of the English language in spoken and written form Presentation skills with the ability to present information in a concise and professional manner to a variety of audiences Organization skills well organized and able to prioritize multi tasks and meet deadlines The ability to work on a regular and punctual basis Flexible and work well under pressure Customer
