QAR 30,000 a month Handover Coordinator Location Doha, Qatar Overview Looking for a Civil Engineer with roadway and utilities projects experience to be part of a handover management team to ensure that the client’s requirements are delivered by covering Consultant & Contractors progress monitoring, conformance to standards / procedures and deliverables verification.
Brief Position Description The role will cover the following tasks (at a minimum and subject to the project’s needs) Review of Standards & specifications documentation and Progress-
tracking of site progress and assessment of progress reports. Assist in the improvement of the handover phase of projects by : -
Preparation, population and tracking of relevant registers, checklists and templates. Attending & contributing to relevant site inspections, meetings and workshops.
Assessment & review of site-based records management systems and procedures. Efficiently communicate (verbally & in writing) with internal (Managers & Engineers), client representatives, 3rd-
party stakeholders and site based (Contractors / Consultants) teams. Review, analyse and report on project generated deliverables covering suitability and conformance.
Preparation of concise Progress reports (textural, graphical elements) as well as MoM’s of key milestone inspection, reviews and meetings with various parties.
Contribute to the implementation and conformance of relevant testing, handover and / or close out standards, procedures and processes and their verification control thereof.
Ability to translate objectives into specifications followed by data gathering, population and tracking thereof. Other tasks, duties and responsibilities as relevant and needed to address the position requirements on an on-going basis.
Essential Competencies / Qualifications Civil Engineering Bachelor Degree from a reputable University. Over 10 years’ experience in the field of construction of roadway and utilities projects, emphasis on at least 5 years involvement in either testing, handover and / or close out stages of projects.
Knowledge of key inspections requirements and methodologies of roadway / utilities assets, covering field testing and office-
based As-Built documents & Records Tracking / Management (e.g Material Approvals Registers, etc...). Good command of English (verbal & written) and an at-
ease communicator. Good proficiency in the use of MS Office Programs (Word & Excel). Experience working as part of a project Consultant team (Delivery Supervision).
Preferred Competencies / Qualifications Developed and / or prepared testing / handover / close out registers, checklists and templates.
Familiarity with relevant Industry Standards and Specifications. Experience working as part of a Contractor’s team. Working knowledge of MS Access.
GCC experience with knowledge of Arabic is a Bonus.
