Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Leads and executes projects with a team of procurement experts in various specialties assigned to ensure delivery of materials, supplies, equipment and services to meet project requirements within budget and on schedule.
  • Plans, coordinates, administers and provides accountability for the functions under their responsibility.
  • Provide Management with adequate information to monitor the business and meet Project goals and objectives
  • Maintain and monitor the relationships between Corporate and its Supply Chain
  • Develop relationships in the marketplace to understand and stay abreast of industry changes.
  • Proactively promotes the interface between the Supplier's technological advances and the Design, Engineering and Operation disciplines of the company as appropriate
  • Enhance supplier development by communicating performance standards, developing joint improvement initiatives and actively soliciting formal feedback.
  • Ensure all supplier and subcontract contracts are complete, properly executed in accordance with company processes.
  • Ensures that commitments are made within the budgeted amounts.
  • Provide timely supply of the goods or services to meet scheduled demands.
  • Monitor and report in cost trends for key commodities impacting product categories
  • Utilize strategic sourcing tools to sustain continuous cost reduction initiatives for product and services.
  • Show high regards for personal safety and safety of workmates.
  • Ensure work area is free of hazards.
  • Represent a professional, respectful, and courteous manner when interacting with management, co-workers, employees and suppliers.
  • Provide day by day support and direction to direct reports. Team work skills are critical.
  • Essential Qualifications and Education :

  • 10 years experience in the construction industry preferably with an operations or construction execution background
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; work extended hours when required, makesound decisions under pressure and work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Operates ethically, with honesty and integrity.
  • Must have an understanding of the basics of construction, be able to read and interpret technical drawings and have the technical ability to assist in the compilation of technical Scopes of Works.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new systems and procedures.
  • Well developed skills with Excel, Word and general software operation.
