VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking for IT Project Manager (Point of Sale system) for one of its clients which is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company in Qatar with the following terms and conditions.

ROLE OBJECTIVEResponsibility for coordinating and monitoring ongoing Projects within the IT Division and ensuring that these projects are on schedule as per the project plan.

Prioritize and reschedule the projects as required given the available resources and criticality of user requirements in coordination with the Central PMO and IT Project Management Office.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersDevelop and review full-

scale project plans and associated communications documentsEstimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

Monitor and schedule projects as per the resource availability and business requirementsPrepare the project lifecycle standards and assign to each project the phases required depending on the size of each project.

Prepare the project initiation reports, project closure reports and all other requisite reports on a timely basisDirect and manage project development from beginning to end, planning, scheduling and tracking the project timelines, milestones and deliverables.

Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify their impact and devise appropriate contingency plansMinimize risk exposure by managing the scope and mitigating risk across projectsManage vendors by fulfilling all contractual obligations and ensuring that they do the sameCoordinate between various departments within IT to ensure the progress of the ongoing projectsImplement engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with the Bank’s methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of the project as measured by set goals and customer satisfactionStay abreast of advances in information technology and consider the implications for the organization and the projects in progress or plannedPossess a thorough understanding of the Bank’s IT related service offerings, technical preferences, and technical directionServe as key contributor in team and client meetingsEnsure protection and security of project information from any unauthorized access within the overall security policy of the BankEnsure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive informationProvide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when requiredLEARNING AND DEVELOPMENTLead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans, timely feedback and reward and recognition practicesCultivate an environment that supports nationalization and reflects the valuesKeep abreast of the emerging trends in the technology space and identify beneficial applications of new and emerging technologies and their implications for the organizationCOMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT or a related fieldWorking towards a professional qualification such as PMP or Prince 2 is an advantageEXPERIENCE10+ years of relevant experience, with 7 years in a similar role in a financial services institutionExperience in the following areas is required : o Point of Sale Acquiring Systems o Merchant Management, Terminal Management, IST Switch Technologies o Fraud Management and Chargeback Handling o POS Network Rollout and Client Setup and Rollout o Payment Scheme Settlement (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, etc.
