The Salwa Beach Resort is to become one of the largest resorts in the Middle East. It spreads along a 3.5km pristine beach front on the southwest coast of Qatar.
Managed by Hilton, it will have 362 hotel rooms and residential units with private beaches, a world-class leisure and waterpark, sports club, marina, dive center, health club, spa, restaurants, cinemas and retail space.
The resort is scheduled to open in 2020 and can be found on Google and YouTube under its working title 'Salwa Beach Resort'.
What will I be doing?As a Banquet Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all banquets and events in the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
A Banquet Operations Manager will also be required to optimise sales and ensure staffing levels meet demand. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards : Manage all Banquets / EventsMaintain exceptional levels of customer serviceEvaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvementPropose ideas to build the range and quality of Conference and BanquetOptimise sales and contain costs, identifying any areas for actionMaintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliersEnsure staffing levels meet business demandsEnsure training is carried out on an ongoing basisEnsure communication meetings are conducted and post-
meeting minutes generatedManage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and proceduresRecruit, manage, train and develop the Front Office teamComply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislationWhat are we looking for?
