The Manager of Enterprise Applications is responsible for setting department objectives and keeping Al Jazeeras Business Processes and Enterprise Systems at the leading edge by driving the vision, leading the execution along with managing the implementation and people, processes and operations of needed enterprise technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Manage the implementation of online websites and enterprise systems and achieve business objectives through technical solutions including but not limited to Corporate Applications, ERP systems, BI solutions, Websites, Intranet Portals and business process automation.
Manage the enterprise landscape and ecosystem of solutions to meet the business needs aimed at excellence, business continuity and customer satisfaction.
Contribute to technology and business teams in actualizing the enterprise systems within their own area of responsibility, working with them to ensure that technical and resource decisions link to the overall business and Technology strategic plans.
Evaluate overall success and effectiveness of Aljazeeras enterprise systems in relation to business processes and suggest corrective measures.
Oversee the budget and manpower planning, preparation, and coordination of multi-year and yearly cycles, including manpower estimation for the department.
Research, evaluate and propose new business and automation technologies and develop an awareness and acceptance among stakeholders
Manage enterprise application projects in terms of scope, resource planning, risks management, and resource allocation.
Perform planning and governance responsibilities associated with projects, sizing, budgeting, contracts, payables, and operational reports.
Interact with executives, business users, vendors, and other parties to monitor the progress of projects and to facilitate any issues or obstacles.
Define and ensure adherence to processes, OLAs, SLAs, RACI matrix etc.
Recommend optimal design, architecture and integration of enterprise systems with other internal applications, broadcast & media management systems and related services.
Mentor team members in various technical tasks and issues requiring in-depth expertise and skills.
Review time, quality and cost KPIs and maintain standards throughout project and product lifecycle by enforcing standards, policies, guidelines and best practices.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent is a must in a computer / technical related field.
Certification in ITIL Foundations, PMP, etc.
12 years in IT domain, 8 years in development, architecture and project management of Enterprise Applications and Online Websites.
A senior level software developer with strong and successful technical lead experience
Experience of leading a team of developers
A high level of SEO experience, specifically on site optimisation, but also a full and broad knowledge of effective SEO strategies and techniques
Advanced level (knowledge and experience) of programming languages and methodologies
In depth understanding of Continuous integration / Continuous delivery (CI / CD), Agile development and DevOps models of working is a must.
Project management standards like (PMP, ITIL, etc.)
Application design, development, and deployment best practices
Software development life cycle and related frameworks / methodologies
Management and implementation of organization-wide software projects
Systems analysis, database design, and programming languages
UML and Modelling concepts and tools.
Business Process development and re-engineering
ERP and Corporate applications
MSF, Sprints, Scrums and other Agile methodologies
User experience approaches, standards, and best practices
