About Your Job : As a junior sous chef you will assist the Sous Chef in all aspects of Kitchen Operations. You should be capable of supervising all staff working under you to ensure meals are prepared as per HACCP guidelines and delivered on time with the highest quality standards.
Motivate the team to ensure deadlines are met with. Effectively plan staff responsibilities within the section and coordinate with chefs of other sections to ensure smooth operations.
All work orders must be closed in the system by all shifts as per requirements and guidelines.You will be responsible for ensuring that all shifts are well manned to enable smooth operation and meals produced are as per passenger loads and any balances are managed effectively to minimize wastage.
Support the Sous chef to forecast requirements of the sections for upcoming cycles together with stores to ensure availability of raw materials and avoid any possible wastage due to excess stocks.
Maintain highest quality of raw materials being received in the kitchen and highlight any quality issues immediately. All flights in the shift should be provided with requirements on time with Zero delays.
All meals provided should be as per airline specifications and as per HACCP guidelines.About You : The ideal candidate must have a culinary education background.
Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management / Catering and a Certification in HACCP. You should be fluent in English and Computer Literate (MS Office).
You must have atleast 4 years experience in a Supervisory chef position in Air Catering unit / Hotel Industry. Preferably worked as a Jr.
