Procurement & Vendor Management Specialist will be required to lead and manage the function providing P&VM services across the business.
To act as a role model of professional P&VM practice, delivering high quality solutions to meet the needs of the organization.
Overall Purpose of the Role :
Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
This role has greater responsibility and accountability than a Buyer and includes some people management responsibility.
The job holder will take responsibility for a specific project or hold a larger remit in terms of purchasing responsibility, will have more technical knowledge, expertise, understanding and will be seen as a specialist within their function.
Key Responsibilities : (including but not limited to)
1- Responsible for a portfolio of existing key suppliers' agreement and program-manage new tenders and direct sourcing activities in the assigned Networks domain
2- Devise and execute appropriate procurement and sourcing strategies
3- Leveraging on GBIs regional and local price benchmarking framework to drive cost optimizations
4- Track and report key functional metrics and conduct periodic portfolio reviews
5- Effectively manage stakeholder expectations for each sourcing activity
6- Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
7- Develop and maintain a strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant purchasing and sourcing concepts.
8- Manage problems and schedule changes and ensure changes are reflected within the ERP systems
9- Balance both tactical executions with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects.
Business Stakeholders Partnership Management :
1- Serve as procurement subject-matter-expert and provide both advisory and sourcing support to business end users in the assigned domains
2- Lead in meetings and negotiations as required
Group Tender Management :
1- Lead, Track and monitor the tender teams on the completion of tenders and direct sourcing activities
2- Facilitate and plan all Group Networks demand forecasts, including tenders and direct sourcing
3- Identify and develop Group Networks sourcing opportunities and strategies
4- Develop clear alignment between Group Networks Technology & Procurement plans
5- Write RFI, RFQ and RFP’s for tendering process
6- Lead in the value-creation workshop and negotiation meeting with Network users and vendors
7- Review award adjudication (Bid adjudication & direct sourcing endorsement)
8- Initiate and lead continuous improvement programs to increase procurement process efficiency and effectiveness
9- Plan and execute communications plans to ensure accurate and timely flow of information to internal customers and stakeholders
Vendor Management & Sourcing Support :
1- Gather periodic feedback from working teams on vendors’ support and overall performance
2- Organize and facilitate Annual Vendor Engagement & Award Recognition Program
3- Facilitate and pre-qualify vendors for tender participation
4- Vendor category management
5- Support in Price benchmarking & other related sourcing related initiatives.
