About Your Job :

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Security Department of Qatar Airways in a role where you will ensure that the security performance of Qatar Airways staff and contractors meet the specification stipulated by the airline.

You will ensure security compliance and day to day operations within the airport and group environment, adhering to the corporate security program.

You will liaise with external agencies and authorities regarding matters concerning duty checks, reporting incidents / damages.

  • You will protect Qatar Airways people, property and facilities against unlawful interference, theft, and damage. This includes work in three distinct areas;
  • Terminal, Ramp and CCTV.

    You must work at times in isolation and make measured and calculated decisions based on knowledge, experience and common sense in order to ensure safety and security of staff and assets.

    You must have the ability to carry out duties even though you may be questioned by other staff or passengers. You must control access to the CCTV room, and carry out initial fact findings on CCTV Investigationsn, recording any incidents to the Security Controller in charge.

    You will monitor Telex messages to carry out specific tasks including but not limited to valuable / vulnerable escorts, fire alarm escorts and so on.

    You will assist QR staff with regards to security and administration matters in order to be consistent with the rules and regulations of Qatar Airways security directives and procedures.

    About You :

    To be successful in this position, you will hold a High School qualification combined with 3 years of job related experience.

    You will have knowledge of basic airport and security reporting procedures. You will have knowledge of customer service standards and procedures, knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security as well as knowledge of current security technology.

    You should be familiar with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access). Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential to perform in this role.
