Key Job Accountabilities

  • Lead theProject Management Team's (PMT) planning activities andcoordinate input from other PMT functions such as engineering,construction, etc.
  • to ensure project schedule objectives are met

  • Coordinate the scheduling activities of contractor withthose of the PMT to ensure that company's objectives aremet with regards to schedule
  • Review thecontractor's planning and scheduling systems and proceduresto assess their adequacy in regards to type of schedules beingproduced, degree of detail, schedule updating and controlprocedures, progress measurement, and work-hour data collectionprocedures
  • Appraise the Contractor's ScheduleEngineer's performance in analysis, forecasting, andreporting
  • Participate in contractor scheduledevelopment, including interactive planning sessions, providingfeedback and supplying interface information from other parts ofthe project
  • Review the project schedule to ensureagreement of activities, accuracy of assumptions, andreasonableness of durations through benchmarking
  • Providethe Project Team with a monthly analysis of the contractorsschedule and an independent assessment of the MC forecast includingidentification of significant changes in progress and forecastimpact of trends on critical path and target MC
  • Developkey progress indicators and milestones for engineering,procurement, fabrication, and installation
  • Reviewprogress, staffing, and quantity curves and confirm they areconsistent with the L3 baseline schedule
  • Assist theProject Team in the overall appraisal of work progress relative tothe schedule
  • Ensure weekly look-ahead schedules areclear and reflect most up to date information
  • Maintainan ongoing reconciliation / root cause analysis for scheduledeviations vs appropriation plan
  • Participate in a highlydynamic team environment working with tight deadlines, minimumsupervision, high pressure and visibility on large capitalexpenditure projects ensuring accuracy, effective decision makingand problem solving in all planning related activities to deliverproject schedule objectives
