  • Hotel receptionists greetincoming guests and welcome them to the hotel. They confirmreservations, explain hotel amenities, give directions to rooms,and produce room keys.
  • They also arrange for luggage to be broughtto rooms upon request.

  • From providingadditional linens to handling complaints about noise or roomtemperature, hotel receptionists are responsible for accommodatingguests during their shifts.
  • They contact necessary personnel, suchas managers or housekeeping, to handle specific requests orcomplaints.

  • Hotel receptionists take allincoming calls at a hotel. They handle phone reservations, confirmpreviously-made reservations, give directions to the hotel andanswer any questions customers have about the lodgings.
  • When a guest’s stay is over, hotelreceptionists handle check-outs. At this time, they will issuepayments such as additional room charges and process debit orcredit cards to pay for room fees.
