We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages.About the role : In the role of Senior Manager - Technical Systems Projects, you will drive a team of business domain focused Managers and Professionals in defining, selecting and implementing IT Systems related to MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) operations and business data analytics.
You will be fully responsible for managing the Tender process and will ensure effective integration of the system and processes across the business domains as well as with legacy peripheral systems.
Key accountabilities of the role include the following : StrategicLead the process of selection and implementation of the future Technical MRO System, which caters to the complex operational requirements of Qatar Airways.
Define and continuously develop Business Systems requirements for MRO IT Systems.Responsible to identify and implement a data analytics platform, which will lead to the automation of KPI and operational reporting, leading into efficiencies and productivity benefits across Technical.
Assist in the development and management of the implementation of Business Systems strategy in Technical. Responsible to cascade the Business Systems strategy and objectives to the entire Technical Department.
OperationalLead the Business Support teams (Supply Chain / Finance, Maintenance Execution and CAMO / Part M streams) in the process for selection of an appropriate MRO System, which caters to the complex current and future operational requirements of Qatar Airways.
This will include preparations for a Tender, Technical Evaluation and Vendor Selection up to Contract Finalisation.Manage the timely and cost effective implementation of the selected MRO System, including driving project and change management, end user training (design and implement training from the system perspective to ensure users fully exploit the functionality of the system) as well as acceptance testing of the system.
Direct MRO project support function to ensure consistency in the project management techniques. Define and implement a common repository of project artefacts, best practices and set a framework for expert support and review of project initiation and planning of deliverable.
Responsible for Budget Control, Product Quality, Management of functional gaps, audit controls, Change Management, Compliance to the company policies as well as Process Integration between the streams.
Oversee the implementation of a data analytics platform for Technical Department, which will empower end-users with data and information to make intelligent business decisions, especially regarding Reliability and On Time Performance.
Has an overall functional responsibility for all major Technical Automation and Business Process improvement initiatives in liaison with IT.
Work with Technical Department Subject Matter Experts to identify, initiate and drive major projects leading to greater levels of automation and productivity across the business.
Remain aware of on-going industry developments within Aircraft Maintenance domain, evaluate and make recommendations for strategic direction and investments.
Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Technical, Finance, Group Procurement and IT in order to ensure System requirements are aligned to individual department level as well as strategic objectives.
Maintain close liaison with all stake holders and process owners to manage potential conflicts of process overlap and interfacesManagement & LeadershipEstablish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the department.About you : Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree with preferably a project management certification.
In addition, candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of IT related Projects experience covering business process improvements, systems development and implementation.
