Establishes assignments anddirects the activities of Construction Managers for various unitsand / or work areas of construction operations.
Assigns manpower, materials, and equipment to maximizeefficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budgetgoals.
Anticipates and resolves variousproblems such as changes in scope, slippage of schedules, andbudget overruns.
Ensures that criticalmilestones are met for each phase of the project.
Makes recommendations to upper management as appropriate,for the resolution of major problems.
Ensuresthe use of sound construction practices to attain required qualitycontrol at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress ofconstruction activities for higher level management and clients,including formal presentations.
Establishespolicies and procedures tailored to the assigned projects andensures conformance.
Ensures effectiveimplementation of all Company and client policies and procedures,including labor relations policies.
Serves asthe primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors,and government representatives for construction relatedactivities.
Maintains strong client andcommunity relations, including making presentations to local civicorganizations.
Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may be appropriate.
