  • Establishes assignments anddirects the activities of Construction Managers for various unitsand / or work areas of construction operations.
  • Assigns manpower, materials, and equipment to maximizeefficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budgetgoals.
  • Anticipates and resolves variousproblems such as changes in scope, slippage of schedules, andbudget overruns.
  • Ensures that criticalmilestones are met for each phase of the project.
  • Makes recommendations to upper management as appropriate,for the resolution of major problems.
  • Ensuresthe use of sound construction practices to attain required qualitycontrol at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
  • Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress ofconstruction activities for higher level management and clients,including formal presentations.
  • Establishespolicies and procedures tailored to the assigned projects andensures conformance.
  • Ensures effectiveimplementation of all Company and client policies and procedures,including labor relations policies.
  • Serves asthe primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors,and government representatives for construction relatedactivities.
  • Maintains strong client andcommunity relations, including making presentations to local civicorganizations.
  • Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may be appropriate.
