Job Category Safety Job Title Safety Advisor DSV Diving Support Vessel Industry Oil Gas Location City Country Doha Qatar Status Resident Single Family Mobilization ASAP Contract Duration 27 Months Working Schedule 10hrs per day 5 days per week Educational Background Occupational Health Safety Qualification Languages Required English Experience Requirements Strong understanding of the HSE ERP risks associated with ROV works Air Diving and Saturation Diving Knowledge of IMCA minimum requirements for ROVs and Diving Knowledge of iOGP 411 and other Diving Safety Documents including Hyperbaric Evacuation ERP Good written and verbal communications skills Conversant with the latest legislation concerning Health Safety Environment Security Worldwide experience of working with contractors in the construction industry Job Purpose To provide Safety advice leadership oversight and review monitor and report the safety performance of the EPC Contractor subcontractors and thirdparty stakeholders for all offshore construction activities Job Role Responsibilities Key Result Areas Supports the Vessel Lead in oversight of the EPC Contractors onshore construction activities and provides advice as necessary to ensure they comply with Project SHE S requirements safety rules and regulations Liaises and assists the EPC Contractors Offshore Pipeline Site Team in all aspects of safety health environment and security pertaining to the Project Attends and participates in Site Safety Meetings Safety Committee Meetings Risk Assessments Toolbox Talks and Job Safety Analysis Audits and monitors offshore pipeline site construction activities at regular intervals in order to identify any unsafe acts to verify whether safe working practices are being adhered to and to ensure Project safety procedures are being complied with Conducts worksite SHE S inspections to ensure that SSOW are being followed Participates in incident investigations root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions as required Participates in Emergency drills and ensure the effectiveness of emergency response protocol Coordinates with Site PMT members and EPC Contractor to ensure active participation in management site safety inspection tours daily and weekly site walkabouts Reviews all health safety environmental and security reports and monitoring the implementation of remedial actions Monitors and reviews the behavioral safety system safety observation program and safety campaign to identify developing trends Examines trends and proposes corrective action to prevent recurrence of accidents incidents as necessary Provides weekly SHE S reports metrics and highlights and any compliance issues to the PMT direct Project SHE S functional reporting Operating Environment Framework and Boundaries Works in an evolving business environment where expansion opportunities are being identified on a continuous basis adding additional complexity and workload to the existing project environment Works effectively within established procedures or creates and endorses new procedures as necessary to further develop the Companys Project Management philosophy Works on large capital expenditure projects in a highly dynamic team environment that has tightdeadlines high pressure and visibility requiring accuracy initiative and the ability to multitask as essential skills Communications and Working Relationships Interfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that requires effective communication initiative flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration Interacts effectively with the Companys management and external stakeholders including statutory auditors shareholder auditors and other entities to discuss project practices and issues Exhibits team leadership skills integrity selfconfidence fairness Mentors and coaches the Contractor to ensure their safety systems are being effective Problem Solving Complexity Undertakes complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance for staff and internal customers Is expected to handle all but the most complex problems and difficulties that might arise Takes initiatives based on experienced gained to deliver timely and costeffective service Sets situations issues in the context of the entire team and has an appreciation of the wider relationships with other people and organizations Decision Making Authority and Responsibility Works independently within established procedures plans and budgets and contributes to the development of these Has autonomy over scheduling and planning of own work organizes efforts of work group to achieve overall efficiency Establishes credibility with peers subordinates and supervisors
