Strategic Sourcing and Category Management :

  • Work jointly with internal customers to forecast future category demand and support the identification of specification standardization and rationalization opportunities, for consolidation and volume bundling purposes.
  • Support relevant functional areas in the consolidation of the demand for centrally managed categories
  • Conduct analysis of historical spend in order to identify spend trends, savings potential and strategic sourcing opportunities
  • Assess category criticality and supply market complexity for the purpose of category prioritization and development of a strategic sourcing plan
  • Support category leads and internal customers in the following activities :
  • Preparation of internal category profiles including definition of standardized specifications, demand plans, total cost of ownership (TCO) and analysis of customer values relating to the category (price, quality, service, delivery time, etc.)
  • Preparation of external category profiles assessing supply market dynamics, value chain and cost structures and identification of capable and experienced suppliers
  • Development of a category sourcing strategy including purchasing methods (spot buy vs long term framework, vs partnership, etc), tendering strategy (open, vs competitive, vs single source), targeted supply market and contracting model
  • Requisitioning, Tendering & Purchasing :

  • Support internal customers in the preparation of purchase requisitions including category selection, and budget / price estimates
  • Support to internal customers in the preparation of scope of services and detailed evaluation criteria for Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Support the evaluation of supplier proposals including :
  • Coordination of site visits and job explanation meetings
  • Participation in the preparation of technical, commercial and overall evaluation reports and award recommendation reports
  • Participation in negotiations and tender finalization up to award
  • Preparation of supplier agreements in collaboration with Legal and relevant stakeholders
  • Contract Management :

  • Prepare and launch contract implementation plans for awarded framework contracts, ensuring proper contract management systems are in place
  • Continuously monitor contract compliance and utilization, tracking performance against predefined KPIs and taking or recommending corrective actions when required
  • Manage contract termination / close-out and issuance of acceptance certificates in collaboration with internal customers
