About Your Job :

The Vice President of Qatar Aviation Services will effectively support the business strategic development, commercial leadership and general management of the business development department to establish Qatar Aviation Services as a market leader.

You will develop and implement the QAS commercial strategy and business expansion, identifying new opportunities for investment in the global market to support operational growth.

With a base in the Doha Head Office you will represent QAS worldwide enhancing the company image though maintaining high quality ground handling services whist meeting financial and legal obligations in all operating host nations.

Your key accountabilities will include the following :

  • Develop QAS business expansion and commercial strategy and ensure alignment with QAS overall strategy in coordination with the operational business units
  • Create business opportunities such as commercial and expansion plans along with forming agreements and alliances with other airlines to support QAS strategic expansion plans
  • Identify and meet operational goals and organisational needs for future Business growth and opportunities
  • Develop the QAS global tactical commercial strategy determining the level of investment globally
  • Managing the preparation and consolidation of the function's budgets including new products, commercial projects and revenue and monitoring financial performance versus the budget
  • Support, implement, and develop policies and strategy for the achievement of QAS annual revenue target
  • Responsible for the leadership, development, management and implementation of QAS strategy in relation to all commercial activities, including partnership arrangements and the marketing function.
  • Responsible for the profit and loss, driving business growth and building and maintaining relationships, promoting awareness and identifying opportunities for QAS in the ground handling industry
  • Responsible to align with route expansion plans to coordinate professional opening of new stations ensuring that they are operational as per prescribed timelines
  • Accountable for the generation of Commercial reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions
  • Review recommendations and proposals of managers within area of responsibility
  • Establish the department or team's objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives
  • Keep abreast of any market trends and developments
  • About You :

    You will hold a relevant College or University qualification to a Post Graduate level with a minimum of 10 years job related experience.

    Having worked in an airline or ground handling operation you will have experience of managing a multi-cultural workforce, contract negotiations and large complex facility move.

    A proven track record of business growth, managing revenue, forecast and budgets for an international organization will be an essential criteria of the role.
