PERSONALITY AND SKILLS

The Director of Human Resources ensures compliance with local and federal employment and labor laws

  • Accurately anticipate department needs by managing and monitoring recruitment and on-boarding.
  • They are a leader in workplace culture, communication and organisation success.
  • They promote employee satisfaction by inspiring and developing others. They celebrate and share hotel, department and individual successes.
  • They are the guardian and enforcer of HR policies, procedures and company values in conjunction with all HODs and the GM.
  • They are diligent and accurate with Administration and Reporting
  • Responsible for employee recruitment, on boarding, accommodation, welfare, training and development.
  • MISSION

  • Implements guidelines, policies, and procedures in compliance with corporate direction and hotel brand
  • Is an integral part of the Excom team and contributes actively
  • Effectively communicates with team members
  • Oversees the administrative activities of payroll, benefits, legal compliance and employment law
  • Evaluate changes and trends in market compensation and makes recommendations

  • Measures employee satisfaction through surveys, round tables, and one-on-ones with team members
  • Anticipates and addresses employee relations matters, responds timely to employee inquiries and is proactive in promoting team member satisfaction

  • Supports operations and assists in achieving team member and guest satisfaction goals
  • Interviews, selects, trains, appraises, Coaches, counsels and disciplines departmental employees / managers according to company standards
