Knowledge and experience ofcommercial issues relating to staff, labour, and support services,subcontract disciplines, plant stores and material control andpurchasing.
An understanding of thefinancial / commercial implications of tender documentation andcontract strategy e.g. conditions of contract, programmerequirements etc.
Ability to analysecontractual financial information and to present it in a clearmanner with recommendations
To implement theprocedures for the administration of subcontracts and purchaseorders for the supply of materials, equipment andservices.
To assist in the preparation ofcontract strategy and tender documentation to ensure that returnscan be accurately assessed financially.
Reviewpre-contract the appropriateness of contract documentation such asconditions of contract and programme, and advice of any issuesrequiring clarification.
Prepare or evaluateclaims for additional time or costs and assist in negotiatingthese.
Prepare a forecast of the outturn valueof the contract with the potential with potential costs and margin,and continually track and report on this, advising suitableremedial action.
Issue invoices and securepayments in line with the contract. Monitor changes in scope ofwork, contract variations, delays, contract verbal instructions toensure that these are recorded, costed and reflected in thecontract.
