College Department Profile The College of the North Atlantic Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Section Head Recruitment and Immigration in the Human Resources Department Reporting to the Manager Human Resources The Section Head Recruitment and Immigration must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Human Resources Department in fully implementing the College s mission and vision College of the North Atlantic Qatar Profile The beautiful and culturally progressive State of Qatar is home to a robust TVET higher education institution College of the North Atlantic Qatar CNAQ Established to meet the ambitious and visionary goals of the State of Qatar CNAQ is a partnership between the State of Qatar and the College of the North Atlantic in Canada CNAQ a national technical college fills the State s need for graduates who have applied technical training in their fields of study The stateoftheart campus hosts around 600 staff and 3000 students CNAQ is the third largest postsecondary institution in Qatar offering 34 advanced diploma diploma and certificate programs in a range of technical areas including Business Management Information Technology Engineering Technology Industrial Trades Health Sciences and General Education In September 2020 the College started offering its first Applied Bachelor Programs which provide a highquality mix of theory and applied analytical vocational and occupational skills and competences coupled with careeroriented practical education and training Since CNAQ s inception the College has graduated thousands of alumni who are proudly contributing to a knowledgebased economy Duties Responsibilities This position requires a dedicated individual who will lead and monitor workforce and recruitment activities across CNAQ in accordance with the College s recruitment plans workforce needs and sourcing approach with the aim to ensure fair recruitment for each position at CNAQ The successful candidate will support the development of the HR business plan in alignment with CNAQ s strategy The incumbent will lead the development of the College s annual workforce plan in liaison with the Schools and Departments This includes financial planning and budgeting in coordination with the Finance Department The successful candidate will ensure that jobs are posted on suitable channels and a fair selection process is followed in alignment with the recruitment strategy The position incumbent will lead the development of the interview assessment methods and recruitment practices This will include overseeing internal as well as external networking to support sourcing strategies In addition the role will include the organization of recruitment events and job fairs The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of recruitment policies procedures processes and guidelines while overseeing recruitment formalities for new hires and reviewing and analyzing employee turnover data The Section Head Recruitment and Immigration will also work towards the College s Qatarization initiatives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders He she will oversee government and immigration services and ensure timely and efficient processing of documents work visas residency permits and entry permits The successful candidate will provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates and will perform other related duties as assigned
