JOB DESCRIPTION JOB PURPOSE The Operations Manager is the focal point and responsible for the planning, organization, leadership and management of field operations with the main objective of this role is to ensure the delivery of consistent and superior service, safety, quality, and technical support and effectiveness required to exceed expectations of our customers, while maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing costs.
JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide daily man and fiscal management of the Operational Workshop. Managing P&L for Country. Ensure that all employees are allowed a safe and quality work environment.
Ensure Staffing levels are commiserating with both the budget and the real life situation for ongoing operations. Application of all Company policies and procedures as relates to the given work environment.
Provide direction to all subordinate staff to ensure customer requirements are met. Drive towards constant quality and safety improvement and be in communication with management to ensure implementation.
Remain in close contact with our customers to be informed about their operational requirements.
Analyze these requirements in relation to equipment and personnel available and if necessary make recommendations / suggestions to customers and management.
Receive and check daily field reports, Job Reports, Customers forms and other Job related documentation and distribute these documents as required.
Follow up on comments noted on Service Tickets, Job Reports etc.
with operators and brief Workshop Supervisor accordingly.
Keep the General Manager informed. Review, control, and approve all invoices issued for clients after each job.
Ensure that all assigned administrative procedures are properly carried out according to the company policy, e.g.
expense reports, bonus sheets, Local Purchase Orders, Customs documents, bills of loading etc This position will be responsible for creating an environment of constant training and learning and will from time to time be expected to give training / direction to field based staff.
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the Line Management with the time frame specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and the delegate is capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
QUALIFICATIONS Essential : Have had Operations supervisory experience. The ability to comprehend and understand and implement a Quality and Safety Environment is key Basic financial understanding as relates to creation and administration of budgets.
Competent on Computers. Proven man-management, organizational and team skills.
Preferred : Enthusiastic, pro-active and have the ability to carry out tasks under instruction. Good mentoring / leading skills.
Required Education : Engineering / Science bachelor's degree or 7 10 years Oil and Gas Experience.
Required Experience : 7 10 years of Oil and Gas relevant experience.
