We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages.About the job : : The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and development of Qatar Airways Scheduling in an effort to continually monitor and optimize the passenger flight schedule product within defined schedule publication timelines.

They will be responsible for taking commercial plans and structural changes from the Network Planning department and implementing those changes into short and long term schedules, applying all Network constraints in an effort to maintain an operationally feasible schedule while defining optimal aircraft utilization.

This person will address and maintain the design of QR Hub schedules for an optimal passenger connectivity while optimizing flight timings, airport gates, parking bays, ground operations and maintenance parameters on the aircraft.

In addition to the aforementioned, the successful applicant will be charged with obtaining seasonal landing approvals and managing QR’s slot portfolio to maximize Network profitability, whilst scheduling all existing code shares and implementing accordingly for each schedule period.

Accountabilities : Responsible for developing short, medium and long term schedules ensuring optimal aircraft utilization.

Working in close cooperation with Network strategy and Network planning to develop an optimized and profitable network.Optimize bottom line results through close in re-fleeting using fleet assignment tools.

Design the Hub schedules and optimization taking into account all Hub constraints.Develop and implement appropriate reporting mechanisms to track schedule changes, aircraft utilization.

Short connections, block time variations and misconnections.Negotiating required slots in order to optimize schedules, connectivity and aircraft utilization.

Negotiating slot swaps and acquiring slots from other airlines where not available.Ensuring that all historic slots are secured.

Responsible for obtaining landing approvals from the Civil Aviation authorities of Countries where the Airline operates.Responsible for the implementation of new code shares, ensuring all marketing and operating code share flights are in sync.

Responsible for Code share flight mapping and conflict handling.Responsible for updating all reservation systems as well as CRS and GDS systems and in ensuring the accuracy of the schedules.

Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with the support business objectivesOversee and supervise employees.

Direct daily activities, recruit, train and develop to ensure high standard of service delivery.About You : Applicants for this opportunity must hold a relevant University Qualification, the minimum being a Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s Degree being a distinct advantage.

You will have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience within the Airline Industry, including management level and senior Corporate Planning experience.

Due to the nature of this role, experience in analytically demanding positions within the Airline industry including Network Scheduling, Network Planning and / or Revenue Management are preferred with additional experience across Marketing / Sales and / or Ground Services being highly desirable.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate strong managerial skills, with the ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.

You must have strong mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to foster teamwork. We require applicants with a hands on’ management approach.
