Job Description Summary
Role Summary : This key role will be responsible for creating, shaping, optimizing, and driving all aspects of the Global Steam CC and HRSG Supply Chain landscape aligned to the business product line strategy for new units and services to position these commodities to deliver maximum competitive value for the customer grounded in operations excellence driven by safety, quality, fulfilment, and cost.
This leader will own the comprehensive consolidated offering of all components on both critical equipment and the variable cost projects and productivity landscape while assessing the targets, actual outcomes on Handbook and impact of projections and bids on final product (EAC).
This role will be a critical enabler of the Next Generation Supply Chain playbook for customer alignment, equipment, footprint, and make-buy scenario planning while supporting key product line industrialization decisions.
Responsibilities :
Lead a customer-centric equipment make or buy strategy for the Global supply chain that is optimized around Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost for maximum supply chain velocity.
Drive new much-needed shifts (transfers of work, optimization, lean) within the Supply Chain to support the strategy for new units and services and repair of specific components
Partner with the commodity strategy leaders for structures, rotors, airfoils, repair, sourcing workstreams to pull together the consolidated view on both equipment
Work collaboratively with stakeholders in Product Line, Commercial, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Product Line, and Engineering to pull together cross-functional evaluations, solutions, and decisions
Drive transformative modelling and scenarios for the future supply chain in line with the business make-buy strategy
Collaborate and drive the allocation strategy in line with a customer-centric strategy as a partner to the SiOP leader
Lead Variable cost productivity for STEAM CC and HRSG as the single source of truth on all projects
Ideate, generate, collaborate with key cost-out partners across functions to assess transformative projects for design harmonization, qualification of best cost locations, piloting new options and overall industrialization
Align closely with product line and engineering teams to work on breakthrough opportunities to simplify modularization and drive standardization across the product catalog offerings
Active involvement in new technology introductions to ensure that the future value streams can deliver competitively and provide flexibility to support the overall product strategy
Single point of contact and Supply Chain approver for industrialization during product line / technical Gate Reviews
Level 1 Project management of any transfers or other critical initiatives; execution of critical milestones
Lead the competitive supply chain benchmarking against competitor offerings
Partner with product line and commercial to review the pipeline of opportunities to ensure supply chain readiness
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience.
Significant overall experience in supply chain, product line, operations, sourcing or engineering pertaining to this commodity, or something closely related.
Technical or operational expertise in Steam, HRSG or related offering is preferred but not required . Prior experience with should-cost modeling, cost out, technical or operations roles, materials planning, lean, financial analysis.
