Position Summary

Our Marine Technical Service Advisor will be a professional, technically-savvy representative of Ilmor : providing technical support to dealerships for our marine programs, including dealer visits and OEM support.

Individuals who are self-starters, high energy, love interacting with people on the phone and in-person, and who have solid computer and engine service experience will thrive in this role.

Essential Job Functions

75% Dealership Support

  • 25% Onsite Field Support

  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. (Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ of experience in engine technical support.
  • 3-5 years’ of boating experience Sterndrive and Inboard applications.
  • Must be organized, can multi-task, and has experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and an emphasis on Excel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Empathetic to the customer, confident, ability to converse with customers with friendly emotion.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls, and climb or balance.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.

  • This position will require the ability to pilot / drive / steer recreational marine vessels comfortably out on the open water
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock, and explosives.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, some instances of this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary
