About the role :
As Lead Commercial Analyst - Aviation Business, you will be responsible for helping us achieve the following :
Own business intelligence process, traffic and revenue data management; provide data on business opportunities e.g. indirect traffic data, unserved routes, air fares, local market data, and new entrants.
Additionally, responsible for providing regular traffic and revenue data in partnership with finance department, provide input on tactical forecasting and potentially also long-term forecasting to Support MATAR’s Airline Business Development team with route profitability and demand (market) analysis to identify potential un-served and underserved routes using Route Development Module, in order to support the team to identify target airlines leading them to launch operation / increase frequency of existing ones resulting in generating additional aero revenues for MATAR.

Review Aero KPIs and perform flight analytics using Airport Management System (AMS) / Airport Operation Database (AODB) / Flight Information Report and Transfer System (FLIRT) / Order Processing Automated Line (OPAL) databases and share 1st level variance analysis for understanding business performance.
Compile periodic revenue performance and report reasons for revenue variances by analyzing changes in volume, pricing, utilization and any other factors for business monitoring purposes.
Perform regular market screening to identify and share leads for new business potential within the team.
Perform regular monitoring and update profile of existing airlines including Aircraft orders and deliveries, new routes launches, partnerships and alliances, etc.
by analyzing aviation publication and other new sources, in order to ensure orderly business continuity and timely mitigation of any potentially affecting issue.
Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
About You :
Without a Degree : High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
With a Degree : Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
Qatari Nationals : Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent without prior experience.
Training to be able to use industry specific tools like MIDT, OAG traffic analyser, Beontra forecasting, FIPLAN (Opal).
Preferably with experience in airline / airport commercial.
Preferably with experience in working in fast-paced environment.
Job Specific Skills :
Advanced in using Excel and BI tools.
Command of English language.
Team player.
